Evidence cards
The complete governing evidence set is the following fictional study cards, identified by their IDs; no external paper is required. H1: randomized placebo-controlled study, 80 adults aged 60–75, wheat-germ extract providing 1 mg/day for 12 weeks; primary memory-score difference (intervention minus placebo; higher scores are better) 0.1 points, 95% CI −0.5 to 0.7, no statistically clear difference; adherence 90%, 10% attrition, adverse-event counts 4 versus 3. H2: observational study, 500 adults aged 40–80, dietary intake estimated by questionnaire, higher intake associated with better cognitive scores; no random assignment, residual diet and education confounding. A1: mouse study using purified spermidine and a maze outcome; human dose equivalence was not established. The cards omit full safety and manufacturing data deliberately; report the resulting evidence gaps rather than inventing them.
Deliverables
An evidence.csv with one row per card, design, population, intervention/exposure, comparator, outcome, result, limitations and card ID; assessment.md comparing the product with each study; and gaps.md naming exactly three prioritized gaps with explanations.
Acceptance Criteria
Cover all three cards accurately. Explain that the reported confidence interval spans zero and both positive and negative score differences; it does not establish benefit, equivalence or clinically meaningful change. No minimum clinically important difference is supplied. Do not turn observational association or mouse results into a demonstrated human product benefit. Identify what the supplied evidence cannot establish. A negative or inconclusive assessment qualifies. Mark unreported study fields as not reported; inventing them is not acceptable.
Product relevance must be assessed against Product P1: wheat-germ extract, 1 mg/day, adults aged 60–75, a 12-week memory claim.
Missing required deliverables, fabricated evidence or a material violation of the stated task makes the work ineligible.
How is the winner selected?
Rank eligible Submissions by accuracy of the card-to-product comparisons first, coverage of material evidence gaps second, and traceability and clarity third. Use the first priority before the second, and the second before the third. Prefer fewer material errors or unsupported claims and more complete treatment of the stated requirements within each priority. If still tied, the lower numeric Submission ID wins. Award one eligible Submission. If none qualifies, record no_valid_submission.
